Airplane Approved Beauty

· Comments(5)

airplane beautyIf you’ve flown anywhere in the last few years, then you know that being able to bring all of your favorite beauty products is a big challenge, especially if you don’t check bags! And squeezing all of your necessities into a quart-sized ziplock bag is nearly impossible, plus most products exceed the 2 ounce limit anyway!

Lots of makeup, skin care, hair care, fragrance, and body product companies have recently created mini versions of their products to meet the needs of frequent travelers.

(type “airplane” in the search box)

There are tons of beauty products at Sephora that are airplane-approved. I also love mini products because it’s a cheaper way to test out new products before committing to a full-size pricy version. And these minis are also great to carry in your purse! Normally when I travel, I just stick all of my products in little plastic containers from Target and beauty stores, but that’s sort of a pain, and I’m always paranoid about them leaking everywhere. I just picked up a travel-size version of Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion and have lots more minis on my wishlist. Which minis have you bought recently?

I thought the limit was 3 ounces? I’ve seen ads in other magazines about airline-friendly beauty products. I have to buy a good set of refillable bottles.

I don’t buy minis… I just collect free samples for that purpose ;)

The limit is 3 ounces and like Marsadie, I collect the free samples. When they are used up I refill them from the full size.

i’m with marsadie, but i’d love to hear other minis that you have on your wishlist!

I thought the limit was 2 oz. also. Mary that’s a really good idea. The only two things I have to have on me when I travel though are lotion and lip moisturizer, gloss or chapstick. I get this great Neutrogena lotion that comes in a 2oz bottle. and all chapstick comes in those tiny tubes. so i grab those and i’m all set!
