I used a coupon code (a flyer from the book which I read in the store) to get half off the annual fee. I wasn't willing to pay $24 for the year but $12 was okay for a trial run. I do like it especially as I don't actually own the book. I use her reviews in conjuction with real life reviews (makeup alley, blogs) before I buy something. Your blog has become one of my favorites for skin care reviews. I probably won't renew for $24 but if they offered another discount I might as I do like reviews on new stuff from a slightly scientific point of view. Although the lack of pore clogging ingredient notification in her reviews is annoying. (But also one of the reasons I love your blog!)

beautypedia is nice for the ingredients lists. I dont know if I'll get another year's subscription though. I got it for 50% off because there was a code a while back. Maybe the code is still viable (google and makeupalley usually are good references)
I dont like her views on avobenzone re: stability. She's emphatic that it wont break down in sunlight quickly, when its been shown to break down faster than any other UV filter. the good news is that octocrylene stabilizes avobenzone, so just look for those two ingredients together. But yeah, I personally prefer zinc oxide too!
PB is funny, in the 6th edition of her book she discounts vitamin C as being an important antioxidant, while in this report its on her A list. But she wont admit she was wrong. And her antioxidant serum has changed recently too, replacing A list antioxidants with B list ones. So she's not being consistent there. Why would she change it? my guess is that its cheaper.
Yeah while Im not a personal fan of PB, I appreciate her thorough ingredients lists.

Hello,

I joined Beautypedia.com a couple months ago, and I find it very beneficial. It is just an up to date version of her beauty review book. You can save 50% on the "subscription" fee of the website by entering Coupon Code: BP50.

I am a member of Beautypedia, and I find it helpful. I can write it off as research (cough) for my blog so I don't mind spending the money. I don't always agree with Paula's opinions as she usually just goes by ingredients and not trying every product. She recently dissed Boots No 7 Restore and renew serum which I love and has got independent studies backing up it's claims. So I take her advice as an opinion, not as 100% fact. After all, different things work for different people. The anti-aging report is a good one.
