L’Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush(7)
Now instead of having to go to the tanning salon to get a spray tan, you can do it in the comfort of your own home!
L’Oreal Sublime Bronze ProPerfect Airbrush
I’ve never gotten a tan-in-a-can before, so using this product was new for me. According to the directions, you are supposed to spray the product continuously at arm’s [...]

Self-Tanner Moisturizers(8)
Recently I’ve started using self-tanners daily on my face once again. I don’t like to look overly tan, so I generally use self-tanners that do double-duty as moisturizers, so that I get a subtle look.
Currently I use:
L’Oreal Sublime Glow, Daily Moisturizer For Face
and
Neutrogena Build-A-Tan Face
These are good products because they don’t contain pore-clogging ingredients, so [...]

Go With Your Own Glow(0)
The Skin Cancer Foundation website has a cute new video about the history of tanning, and how sunscreen is a necessity for our health and beauty. The video talks about how professional models never tan, and that women at the Oscars this year were all pale and lovely. Actually I totally forgot to tune into [...]

Vitamin D And Sun Exposure(6)
I constantly hear about Vitamin D nowadays, and it seems like the vitamin du jour to talk about on the news, and in books and magazines. Remember several years ago when Vitamin E was all the rage? In the August 2007 issue of Elle magazine, I was fascinated by an article about Vitamin D, since [...]

Anchorwoman Too Tan For TV(5)
So I watched that new Fox reality show “Anchorwoman” last night. I didn’t think it was the worst thing in the world, and I was mildly entertained. But I kept getting confused because the star of the show, Lauren Jones, looked like she was in her late 30s, and if the whole premise of the [...]

UV Index(3)
The UV Index is the measurement of the ultraviolet rays that are hitting the Earth, and it’s a guide to let you know the sun’s intensity on a particular day. If you go to the EPA Sunwise site, you can enter in your zip code or city, and it will give you your city’s reading. [...]

The Best Sunscreen and Sunblock(90)
Since I don’t want to pre-maturely age my skin or get skin cancer, I’m obsessed with sunscreen! I use the term sunscreen and sunblock interchangeably, since the distinction between the two words seems to be gone. I have tried countless sunscreens, and have found that most of them work well as far as keeping me [...]

California Spray Tan at Sunset Tan(14)
For a weekend of fun, I drove from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, and when I noticed the Sunset Tan on Sunset Blvd (at Alta Loma), I thought it would be interesting to stop in for a spray tan! I’ve only done one spray tan before – a Mystic Tan – but it’s been a few years, [...]

Why Tan People Make Me Look Good(3)
With the bombardment of the media, tv, magazines, and doctors warning you about the dangers of tanning, I can’t imagine anyone doesn’t know that tanning is bad for you. And I don’t think anyone is silly enough to believe that tanning beds are “safe.” As a teenager, I knew tanning wasn’t good, but I figured [...]
