DERMAdoctor

derma doctorOne of my favorite skin care websites is DERMAdoctor.icon
It was started by Dr. Audrey Kunin, who is a board-certified Dermatologist. The reason I like the site is because it’s an online store, featuring tons of popular skin care and beauty brands (in all price ranges) like Afirm, Cellex-C, Bliss, Burt’s Bees, Dr. Brandt, Kinerase, Murad, Neutrogena, and tons of lesser-known brands that specialize in sunscreen (my obsession). The main reason I like the site is because you can search the site by skin condition and find products for just about any skin-related condition you can think of - acne, dark circles, hair loss, melasma, rosacea, keratosis pilaris, etc. But my favorite feature on the site are her articles - she has articles on at least 100 different skin conditions, and I usually reference her site when I need to learn about a new topic.

I also have her book - The DERMAdoctor Skinstruction Manual which is basically a printed version of her website. It gives you a good overview of all of the skin conditions she writes about on her site. She doesn’t go into extreme detail about any one condition, but the book, or website, is a great place to start when you need to learn about a skin-related problem you’re experiencing.

I buy a few regular products from her site (like Afirm 3x, a strong retinol cream), and when I want a new product, I check her site to see if she sells it. Dr. Kunin also sells her own line of products called DERMAdoctor (which you can also get at Sephora). This is going to sound crazy, but I haven’t bought a single one of her products yet! I have a whole list of her products I want to try, but since I found her site after I fixed my acne, and learned how to keep my wrinkles at bay, I haven’t “needed” anything new lately. She does have some blackhead products I am curious about, though…

Looks like a great site–I will definitely check it out. :) I left you a comment on your anti-aging checklist post. Do you keep an eye on old posts for comments or should I always comment on the newest post?

    Thanks so much! You’re awesome :) :) :)

Have you ever tried Kerastase? Their products are incredible…have saved me from many hair disasters! This is one line that’s expensive, but worth it.

Jeni, does dermadoctor site have any clue for treatment n regime for my skin type? Though i am acne prone and oily (a bit oily not too much), i also have telangiectasis or some sort of red vein, so basically i should avoid all ingeredients that usually being used to control acne, oilyness and pores, such as AHA, BHA, or PHA. But if i use skin care that are designed for sensitive skin, usually they are too rich in texture for me since most of them designed for dry sensitive skin, so i wonder what should i use to control and minimize my visible pores at nose and cheek without hurting the vein,
