Tam,
What type of scars do you have? Are they red or brown spots, or are they actual pitted scars that you received from having acne? I had red spots, and wrote about them here: http://www.savvyskin.com/red-acne-spots . These types of scars should eventually go away.

If you have actual pitted scars, there are Fraxel laser treatments that can help smooth out your skin. But Fraxel is a pretty heavy-duty treatment, so it's expensive, and a bit intense. You could get an initial consultation with a regular Dermatologist, or a Cosmetic Dermatologist. They will be able to determine the best route for you to take.

I have been going to my dermatologist for years. Smart girl: Supicious moles need to be checked. My first visit was the result of a supicious mole, and fortunately, I got to the derm in time. It was more than a suspicous mole. They now do a mole map via camer, that you can take home on CD. For long-term protection, it's a valuable tool.
