I love the website MakeupAlley cause it’s saved me tons of money! Before I buy any new makeup or skin care products, I search on the Product Reviews on MakeupAlley (you might need to register for a free account before you can see them). A lot of popular products will have tons of reviews, so you can get a good sense of whether or not the latest moisturizer or sunscreen you want seems to work well for people. Also, a lot of times people will list the product’s ingredients, which can sometimes be hard to find online, so that’s always helpful to me! And, since I’m acne-prone, I like to see if a lot of people say a certain product causes them to breakout. Then I know I too will probably have a problem with it. Some of the products I use get mixed-reviews on Makeup Alley, but most of them get either rave reviews, or mostly positive reviews, and I am usually quite happy with my purchases if I look at the website before heading to the store! The only thing that frustrates me is if a product is brand new, it might take a few months before a lot of reviews really start to come in, so sometimes I’ll risk it and buy something before I see the reviews. Then a lot of times my purchase ends up sucking:(
