I subscribe to probably 15 magazines, but just picked up New Beauty magazine for the first time. Well I’ve browsed it before, but this is the first time I actually bought it! It’s a really big magazine, and it comes out only twice a year. It has a really good overview of all sorts of different treatments like Botox, Restylane, Juvederm and other dermal fillers, hair problems, anti-aging tips, information about peptides and sunscreen, beauty dangers, and tips to improve your body, and even your teeth! It’s a great magazine if you aren’t familiar with a lot of different Medical Spa treatments, and it even touches on Plastic Surgery. It’s also great for people that already have a lot of skin care knowledge, but want to learn about the newest skin care products procedures that are now available, or that will soon become FDA approved.
The magazine does have a long list of Doctors that perform various Dermatology or Plastic Surgeon procedures, which is helpful if you’re looking for a doctor. But the section is pretty long, so it takes up a good portion of the magazine. You can also check out the New Beauty website, where you can search for doctors there as well.

I hate this magazine, it’s very plastic surgery-centric…just my humble opinion!

Yeah it does have a lot of plastic surgery stuff, which I don’t like either. I just like how it talks about the latest Medical Spa treatments that are becoming available. I think it’s more for someone that doesn’t know much about skin care treatments and needs a good overview.

I work as a Sales Representative in the “Aesthetic” skin care market. I have sold everything from Injectable Collagen, to Breast Implants, Chemical Peels, Prescription- Strength Chemical Peels–the whole gamut. If you take a close look at this magazine, note the drs that are on the Advisory Panel. These drs used their own money to fund this magazine-so really you are getting One Big Advertisement. In the articles, they reference so called “experts” or “world renowned” dermatologists or plastic surgeons. These “experts” are the ones funding this magazine!! Stay away from New Beauty Magazine, it is a rip-off and very biased.

I noticed the magazine is pretty big on the advertising of doctors. I take everything I read with a grain of salt, but I ended up buying the latest issue if this magazine yesterday! I like it because it gives me ideas for topics to write about on this site.
