Charlotte,
I've been eating coconut oil for the past year - putting it on toast, in oatmeal, etc. I started using it because it's supposed to support your thyroid, and I heard it could possibly help with weight loss, and I love coconuts! I haven't tried putting it on my hair yet. I did put it on my face, but I think I found it too greasy, or maybe I was afraid it would cause breakouts. I can't quite remember. I will have to look into it more.

I've been meaning to suggest coconut oil to you, and this post reminded me. There is evidence that suggests that cold-processed extra virgin coconut oil (almost always sold organic as well) is good for your skin and hair as well as to eat (the saturated fat issues are for processed coconut oil, not cold-processed). It is high in Lauric acid and lots of other good things. Since the oil is also anti-microbial, I've been using it at night over my night cream to "seal it in" and also putting it on when my skin gets irritated or looks like its break out. It seems to help, plus I smell yummy yummy. I also use jojoba oil, which you mentioned in a previous post. I am not prone to acne, and my skin is combination/dry, so it may not be the same for you, but I hope you don't mind the suggestion. Thank you for your reviews!!
