I did plenty of research on Prevage MD before trying it, and saw many reviews about rashes and breakouts. I have very sensitive, acne prone, T-Zone oily skin, so this was a great concern. I decided to go for it because I figured if it worked, the long term gain would outlast the negative of dealing with a breakout for a couple weeks.

So, I am 31 years old and have been using Prevage MD for the last year and a half. It has never caused my skin any irritation or breakouts, and while there were no immediate, significant changes, I stuck with it because it was one of the few moisturizers that didn't make me breakout, and I liked the feel of it on my skin. Somewhere over the course of the past year and a half, I've apparently lost about 5 years in my appearance.

When I started, I had a lot of acne scars, sagging around my cheek/mouth area, enlarged pores, and was beginning to see the initial signs of aging around my eyes. Now, everyone thinks I'm somewhere between 19-25. I have been carded more in the past year than I have from 25-30. I look at my girlfriends of the same age and they seemed to have aged +5 years as they crossed into the 30-year threshhold, with crows feet, forehead wrinkles, etc. and I strikes me constantly at how much older they look than me. I can't help but wonder if I didn't start using Prevage, would my skin have also been like theirs?

Anyway, here's my regimen: I wash my face with the Clarisonic (a must-have) and Philosophy's Purity Made Simple, use Thayer's aloe vera witch-hazel as a toner, then apply my presciption topical acne treatment (Duac cream, the only thing that works for me). Once that dries, I apply 2 pumps worth of Prevage MD on my face in upward-outward strokes, then the rest of my makeup. Same routine at night, minus makeup. I've developed this routine like most women, through trial-and-error. This is the longest I've kept the same routine, and if I skimp on a step or use a replacement product, my skin lets me know it!

I have been using Prevage MD for almost three weeks now, and my skin looks smoother. I have a bit of a rash on my forehead, but it could also be due to my period that should start soon. I have however seen a very noticeble change on my neck. I had botox done some time ago, and ever since, my neck looks like an old woman, ( looks like turkey skin), the one "band" is much worse than the other. I have tried several products before, and nothing worked. Prevage MD is the first product that actually really made a difference. It has definetely improved, . I also have a friend that uses Neostrata with Prevage and she is very happy with the results.

In Canada we don't have Prevage MD, we just have Prevage which boasts a .05% Idebenone. I work in a commercial cosmetics sales environment where we sell the regular Prevage. I use it every second night, and in between I use Neostrata's 8% glycolic smoothing cream. The glycolic keeps any adverse acne affects at bay, and sloughs away my dead skin cells allowing the Prevage to penetrate only healthy skin cells.

I have been using Prevage MD for several months now and am very happy with the results. My biggest problem is the cost! Could you explain where to get the generic Idebenone and how to mix it into the moisturizer? This would be a great solution but I am afraid of not doing it properly! Thanks so much for any information!

That's too bad you're getting acne with this AMAZING product! I've been using Prevage MD for two years now and love love love it!! I refuse to use anything else to brighten, tighten, smooth and leave my skin glowing.
Perhaps you should try the regular Prevage, they put MD on it for a reason.

Maria,
If you are getting mild acne from the Prevage, I'm not sure if it will go away with continued use or not. I'm pretty sure it's one of the ingredients (algae extract) in the product that causes cosmetic acne in a lot of people. If you continue to use it, though, after a month or two, you should start seeing some results with the Prevage MD. Just make sure to use sunscreen when you go out. It doesn't matter if you use the product at night, or in the morning.

As far as the results Prevage is supposed to provide, I think using a Retinol product might give you better results in the long run, along with using a good sunscreen. http://www.savvyskin.com/how-to-pick-a-retinol-product

I started using Prevage MD two weeks ago, after the 2 or 3 aplication once a day I notice mild acne on my forehead .I had read about the high incidence of skin reactions reported by others using this product , so I stoped using it for a couple of days, the pimples clear out with no problem . I am only using very small amouts every other day now, and so far so good. I wonder if its better to use at night or in the morning . Any suggestions?I am eager to see some good results soon.
