Lancome Aquafusion gel-creme! It’s fantastic, my skin is acne prone and slightly dry and this moisturiser makes it feel hydrated without being greasy. Sometimes I’ll get bored and try something new, but I always end up coming back to Aquafusion. I just wish they had more products in the range.

I love, and always go back to, Clinique’s Take The Day Away makeup remover. I divide it up and put it into smaller bottles for when I travel. I’ve tried numerous other makeup removers and always come back to this one! It’s not too $$$-I think around $16 for a bottle that lasts forever!

And if I only had 5 minutes, which is all I normally have anyway with a toddler running around, I’d put on sunscreen/moisturizer, mascara, and lipgloss.

If I were stranded on a desert island I’d be lucky because the one beauty product that I cannot live without is pure virgin organic Coconut Oil. I use it as moisturizer for my face and body, shaving, makeup removal, deep-conditioning hair treatment, massage oil, cutcile conditioner…plus the smell is positively dreamy and I don’t need to fear scary, chemical pore clogging ingredients…need I say more? (One caution: people with nut allergies of any kind cannot use Coconut Oil on their bodies!) It feels like baby oil going on, then 10-minutes later it’s gone because it’s been absorbed…antioxidants and all. Just love it!

I can’t say I have specific holy grail products… I need a good cleanser, prescription topical acne meds, moisturizer, sunscreen, hair conditioner, styling product., and body moisturizer. That’s it; everything else is peripheral. Normally I just have oily skin, but the acne meds cause terrible dryness in certain spots so I consider it combination. My hair is curly and fine and loves to frizz up and tangle.
Right now I am loving Boscia’s Cool Cleansing Oil, prescription Duac Gel, prescription Retin-A Micro, Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, Purpose’s dual moisturizers with SPF, and Biolage’s Conditioning Balm. I continue to be fickle about styling products and body moisturizers. I try to stay away from silicone-based hair produccts because they build up in my hair and make the tangles worse; I just bought Phytodefrisant so I am looking forward to trying that styling product. Body moisturizers? Whatever is handy, usually whatever type of Jergens smells especially appealing to me at the time of purchase.
I haven’t even touched on make-up… I’m a Bare Escentuals girl for the most part. If I was limited in what make-up I could wear, I would slap on some powder, mascara, and gloss. My skin looks healthy enough most of the time that I could feel comfortable skipping make-up, but one of the reasons I like to apply at least foundation and powder is because of the added SPF benefit.
I just have to say, I love your blog!

Clinique liquid facial soap & Superdefense moisturizer - that’s 2.
Then… MAC concealer under my eyes & MAC Plush Lah mascara. & Dior lipstick.
I don’t know if I have any specific or good tips - I consider myself still learning. But something I’ve noticed recently is that after a late night (or well, early morning) out, the best ways not to look like hell the next morning are to drink one or two glasses of water right when you get home, and then cleaning & moisturizing your face A LOT.
Oh, and this SA at a MAC counter taught me to apply concealer under my eyes with an eyeshadow brush - it looks a lot more natural.

The best thing you can do to arrest aging as per Dr. Oz is to take Resveratrol. A friend of mine told me that he had started taking resveratrol based on a doctors suggestion about six weeks ago. My friend was experiencing chronic fatigue
and was having trouble sleeping. I asked him how it was working out and he said that he was taking a type of resveratrol called biotivia transmax and that after two weeks the results were subtle but undeniable. He said that he had more energy during the day, was more alert throughout the day and was sleeping less but waking up more refreshed. So based on his experience I decided to give it a try. I have had similiar results after just one week. It is only recently that I have heard about it anti-aging benefits.
There is something to this resveratrol, I have no idea if I will live longer but I can tell you that I am living better now.

Only 5 minutes?
Some of my tinted moisturizer, finishing powder, blush, and lipstick Since I make my own tinted moisturizer, I can usually put finishing powder on sooner than if I used commercial moisturizer with my mineral makeup finishing powder.
Things go faster for me.

i use murad’s acne complex system which definitely helped in clearing up and keeping my acne at bay and if this is night time, i would put a little ddf sulfur mask on a cyst/pimple if i had one. favorite product has got to be the ddf sulfur mask - it works wonders overnight!

I don’t take much more than five minutes anyway, but with limited time I’d definitely do my skincare first - duac gel on chin, then sunscreen mixed with oil control gel all over.
For cosmetics I’d concentrate on eyes and lips - first a wet powder eyeliner on upper lids only, mascara base and then mascara (all Trish McEvoy). Powder my face, probably with inexpensive pressed powder - I switch around but am using Physician’s Formula now. Then lips - burt’s bees lip balm as a base, and Chanel Lotus Rouge lipstick on top.
Done!
