I feel you! I am still very young, a teenager growing up in Los Angeles. (15 years of age..)
As I was growing up, I did many programs on the beach and of course I was everywhere outside, it's LA! I would get very dark, I can relate to your story..Recently, this year, I realized that sun exposure is worse than I thought, reading up on all these articles online. I have a pale olive complexion and I complement it with bronzers and a lil bit of self tanners- with ST's and bronzers these days, there's no excuse for frying the crap out of your skin...Seriously, if a peer or whatever wants to tan, let them be careless and take their skin for granted, be my guest- I can still look great now, and when I am 30,40,50.
and I will look a hell of a better than them at that age....
I can really relate to you, enjoyed reading this!

Yay, I'm glad you stay out of the sun too!! And you look do look younger than 32 - I like your new lighter hair by the way!!! I usually wear a self-tanner moisturizer just to give myself some color. When I worked at the Medical Spa, people would comment all the time about how pale I was also.

I totally agree with you. I tried to tan once when I was 18, I burned the crap out of myself and I ended up scaring myself. The scar has gone away.

I do my best to stay out of the sun, if I have to be in the sun. SPF 50 all the way. People make fun of how pale I'm am, someone made fun of me last week.

I really don't care if people make fun of me, I just think about the day I was walking to work. A man approached me and told I have beautiful skin, and he's so glad to see someone take good care of their skin, someone who wants to look good when their 40. He wished his daughter wouldn’t tan so much.

Most people think I'm in my mid to late 20's, I'm 32.
